Job DescriptionJoin our team at the stunning Constance Ephelia resort in Seychelles as a Barista. We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to create exceptional coffee experiences for our guests in this tropical paradise.
•Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, using high-quality beans and proper techniques
•Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment
•Create visually appealing latte art to enhance the guest experience
•Take customer orders and provide friendly, efficient service
•Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately
•Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
•Recommend and upsell coffee products and accompaniments to guests
•Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
•Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues during busy periods
•Adapt to the unique challenges of working in a resort setting, including potential language barriers and diverse guest expectations
Qualifications•Proven experience in coffee preparation techniques and espresso machine operation
•Strong latte art skills and a passion for creating visually appealing beverages
•Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and supportive demeanour
•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
•Proficiency in cash handling and operating Point of Sale (POS) systems
•Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
•Previous experience as a barista in a hotel or resort setting is preferred
•Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
•Food handling certification is desirable
•Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
•Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
•Enthusiasm for coffee culture and willingness to continuously learn about industry trends
