As the Trainee Bar Manager at Scylla AG Reaver Cruise Company, I play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional beverage service for our guests aboard our luxurious cruise ships. Reporting directly to the Maitre d', my responsibilities involve managing and overseeing the efficient operation of the bars on board. This role requires leadership, coordination, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. Lead and motivate a team of two Bar Waiters to deliver outstanding customer service. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the bar staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the bar team. Oversee the day-to-day operation of all bars on the cruise ship. Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring an adequate stock of beverages and supplies. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for efficient bar service. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by consistently delivering quality beverage service. Address guest feedback and resolve any service-related issues promptly. Create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere in the bars for guests. Maintain quality control for all beverages served, ensuring consistency and adherence to company standards. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization of bar areas. Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless coordination of activities on board. Work closely with the Maitre d' and other managers to enhance the overall guest experience. Proven experience as a Trainee Bar Manager or similar role in a high-volume hospitality setting. Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of beverage products, mixology, and service standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations in a bar setting. I report directly to the Maitre d' and collaborate with other department heads to ensure the smooth operation of the cruise ship's hospitality services.
